James Andrew Feaster Kirkpatrick

James A. F. Kirkpatrick was the oldest son or Francis and Isabella Kirkpatrick, and was born 29 December 1813 in Chester County, South Carolina. He married Mary Ann, whose maiden name is unknown at this time. She was born 15 September 1815. In 1840 Jame's parents moved to Aberdeen, Monroe County, Mississippi. James and his family probably accompanied them. At a later date, he moved his family from Mississippi to Jasper, Walker County, Alabama, where he lived and died. Mary Ann died 26 September 1891, and James died 12 April 1895. Both are buried in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery in Jasper.
On the 1860 U. S. Census James Kirkpatrick is at Northern Division, Chambers Co., Alabama, with Post office of Bethlehem, Alabama. The household is wife Mary A. and children Rocinda and Martha.
On the 1870 U. S. Census of Beat 2, Chambers Co., Alabama James Kirkpatrick appears with his wife Mary Ann and children Aramenta 20 and Martha 15. Also a servant Hennetta age 20, white.
On the 1880 U. S. Census of Walker Co., Alabama, James Kirkpatrick is indexed as Kirkpaterick. He is with his wife Mary A. and daughters Rocinda and Martha Haynes. James is a farmer.
