Francis Franklin "Frank" Kirkpatrick

(1 May 1785 - 4 May 1854)

Francis Kirkpatrick, the oldest son of James and Jennet Kirkpatrick, was born 1 May 1785 in Chester County, SC. On 13 March 1813 he married, probably in Chester County, to Isabella Triplett, who was born 8 November 1787 in Chester County. About 1840 the family moved to Aberdeen, Monroe County, Mississippi. Francis died 4 May 1854 in Caledonia, Lowndes County, Mississippi, and Isabella died there on 4 April 1860. Both are buried in the Egger Cemetery in Lowndes County.

Since we have a record of two Amzis and two Mary Anns among the children of Francis, we presume that the elder in each case died young, but we have no records stating that such is the case.

Francis Franklin Kirkpatrick was born on May 1, 1785, in Chester, South Carolina, his father, James, was 24 and his mother, Jennet, was 20. He married Isabella Triplett on March 13, 1813, in his hometown. They had six children in 13 years. He died on May 4, 1854, in Caledonia, Mississippi, at the age of 69.
