Surviving are three sons, Raymond of Independence, Leo of Postville and LeRoy of Delhi; three daughters, Sylvia Shaub of Guttenberg, Velma Phillips of Lime Springs and Bernita Hodek of Cresco; five brothers, Guy, Irvin and Clarence, all of Manchester, Nate of McGregor and Scherry of Minnesota; two sisters, Effie Stecgra of Amarapha, Manitoba, Canada, and Eva Lamar of Tacoma, Wash.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Vernon's, where friends may call after 2 p.m. today. Burial: Oakland Cemetery.
