On the 1900 Census with his parents his year of birth is 1892. His year is 1891 on his WW I draft registration. With his brother William being born in November 1889, that would figure Ernest being born in only 3-4 months after William if his year of birth is 1890.

Ernest Mygatt, 66, Illinois 25 years, Died Early Today
Ernest Mygatt, 66, who resided near Old Ben mine #9, died about 8 a.m. today at his home. He had been ill 25 years. He is a member of the Apostolic Faith Assembly Church, 2001 East Main Street and a veteran of World War I. Survivors are his wife, Daisy, and two sons, William Mygatt, serving in the Army at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri, and Marion Mygatt of East Alton, Illinois. Two sisters, Mrs. Ezra Knight of this city and Mrs. W S Fred of Peoria, Illinois, a brother W S Mygatt of Sessor, Illinois, and four grandchildren. The body will lie in state after noon Sunday at the Walker Funeral Home, 1003 East Main Street. Funeral arrangements were incomplete today.

Services were held at Apostolic Faith Assembly Church at 2 pm Dec 24, 1956. Pastor Paul Worley, of West Frankfort, Il, performed the service. His final resting place is Mitchell Cemetery near Sessor, Illinois.

Naomi Avery was the pianist and sang Land Where Dreams Come True, James Burns sang Last Mile of The Way, and Mrs. Paul Worley sang In My Fathers House. The sermon was 'True Estimate of Life', with readings from Psalms 90:9-10, Psalms 102:11, Galations 2:20, and Phil 1:21.
