Southern Illinoisan, Carbondale, Illinois, Thursday, February 17, 1966: Marie Fred, Sesser, Dies in Benton Hospital. Mrs. Marie Fred, 62, died at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Franklin Hospital Benton. She was born Aug. 15, 1903, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Mygatt in Perry County. She leaves her husband, Ted; a son Orville Morris of Urbana; a brother William Mygatt of Sesser and five grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Brayfield Funeral Home, Sesser, with the Rev. E. A. Somers officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery near Sesser. Friends may call after 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
