Register-News, Mount Vernon, Illinois, Thursday, February 23, 2012: Mt. Vernon - - Madeline K. Buchholz, age 83, of Mt. Vernon, died 7:39 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. Madeline was born July 18, 1928, in Waltonville, a daughter of Luther and Callie (Jones) Kirkpatrick. Madeline was a licensed practical nurse and later worked for the Illinois Department of Family and Children's Services. Madeline is survived by her sons, Allen Buchholz of Springfield and Ron Buchholz of Mt. Vernon; two grandchildren, Vickie Cornish and Michelle and husband David Peruzzi; three great-grandchildren, Katherine, MaKayla and Anthony; and she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Old Baptist Cemetery in rural Waltonville with Pastor Randy Hayes officiating.
