Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Lorna Marie Kirkpatrick Upton, 75, passed away April 14, 2001 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born March 5, 1926 in Coalville, Washington to Fredrick J. and Dora M. Cramer Kirkpatrick. She married Vern Alvin Upton, September 1,1945 in Superior, Montana; he died April 12, 1982. Lorna was a member of the Eastern Star. She retired from Tooele Army Depot, and then worked security at Hercules. Survived by her children, Irene (Frank) Bruggeman, Bill (Sylvia) Upton, Jim (Judy) Upton, and Joan Hayes; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and sister, Dorothy Charles. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, and eight brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wed., April 18, 2001 at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S., Magna, where friends may call Wed. one hour prior to services. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
