Independence---(Special) Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14, at St. John's Catholic church in Independence for A. D. Harrington, 82. Burial will be in Independence. Mr. Harrington died at People's hospital in Independence at 1:45 p.m. Friday. A retired farmer, he had resided in Buchanan county for the past 17 years. Survivors include Three sons, Charles of Cedar Rapids, Regis of Oelwein, and Raymond (Red), state representative from Independence, 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Body lies in state at the White funeral home in Independence. Rosaries will be recited at 3 p.m. and at 8 p.m. Sunday.
