Three Forks---Services for Arthur James Carlson, 81, a retired railroad conductor, will be Friday at 10:30 in the Lukkason Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Deer Lodge Cemetery. A patient in the Page Rest Home in Three Forks two years, he died Monday. Mr. Carlson began railroading with the Northern Pacific in Jamestown, N. D. when he has 17. In 1904 he went to work for the Milwaukee Road. He retired in 1952. He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Preceded in death by his wife, Maude, survivors include daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Kathleen) Wilcox and Mrs. William (Mary Jane) Crowley, both of Three Forks, Mrs. Edward (Geraldine) Scheider and Mrs. Bud (Gladys) Bergren, Seattle, and Mrs. Richard (Adelaide) Jones of Anaheim, Calif.; sons, Sgt. William, Philippine Islands, and Tom of Butte, 20 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Elmer Murray and Roy Stead of Deer Lodge, Bill Crowley of Great Falls, and Eddie Wilcox, Mal Murray and Bernard Carpenter of Three Forks.
