Scott Lucillius Kirkpatrick, born 23 September 1882 in Ripley, Lauderdale County, Tennessee; attended Webb School, Bell Buckle, Bedford County, Tennessee. Scott received his law degree from Cumberland University at Lebanon, Tennessee; is an elder in the Presbyterian Church; owned and operated a Ford dealership in Marianna, Arkansas; served four terms as County and probate Judge of Lee County, Arkansas; in 1942, was appointed as Postmaster of Forrest City, St. Francis County, Arkansas, remaining in that capacity until his death on 30 September 1955. Scott is buried in the Kirkpatrick Lot, Forrest Park Cemetery.
Scott married on 15 December 1910 at the Presbyterian Church, Forrest City, St. Francis County, Arkansas to Ardale Anderson Rollwage, born 4 May 1891, daughter of Otto B. and Virginia E. (Anderson) Rollwage. Virginia E. Rollwage is the daughter of Ptolemy E. and Sarah A. (Robinson) Anderson. Sarah A. Anderson is the daughter of James and Katherine (Schell) Robinson. Ardale attended both Ward's and Belmont Colleges (later Ward-Belmont) in Nashville, Tennessee, a devout student of the Bible, has taken several courses, one of which included a tour of "The Holy Land" and the other points of early Christian history.
There were five (5) children born of this marriage.

Kirkpatrick, 71, had been confined with a heart condition about three weeks. A native of Ripley, Tenn., he moved to Arkansas in 1908. He was county judge of Lee County, Ark., and became Forrest City postmaster in 1942.
