Mt. Vernon Register News, Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Friday, July 10, 1953, Page 2, Col. 6: I. F. Kirkpatrick Dies at Age 76; Funeral Sunday. Isaac Foster Kirkpatrick, 76, died at 8:35 last night at his home 2113 Cherry street. In ill health for a year and a half, he had been in critical condition for the past week.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Central Church of Christ. The Rev. Lester Pifer will officat4e and burial will be in Bethel Memorial cemetery. the body will remain at the Pulley Funeral Home where friends may call after 10 a.m. Saturday. At 10 a.m. Sunday the body will be taken to the family home to lie state until the funeral hour.

Mr. Kirkpatrick was born February 2, 1877 in Jefferson county, the son of Francis M. and Lucy Jane (Estes) Kirkpatrick. On September 19, 1909 he was married in Jefferson county, to Dicy Dalby, who survives.

Mr. Kirkpatrick was a veteran of the Spanish-American War, having served with Company K of the 9th Illinois Regiment. He was a member of the Untied Spanish-American War Veterans. He had been a member of the Central Church of Christ for the past 40 years.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Aram B. and Leroy D. Kirkpatrick, both of Mt. Vernon; three daughters, Mrs. Pearl Ryder of Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Louise Mick of Detroit, Mich. and Mrs. Josephine Boehm of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren; and one brother, Grover C. Kirkpatrick of Carlyle. Mr. Kirkpatrick was a member of a family of 12 children, only one of whom survives.
