Blanche Fern Kirkpatrick was born 26 February 1904 in Tennessee Township, McDonough County, Illinois. She married twice. First to Robert Kenneth Pennington, son of Archie and Amy (Musgrove) Pennington, on 11 July 1925. Robert was born 22 June 1903 in Industry, McDonough County, Illinois. He died 20 January 1934 in Stockton, San Joaquin County, California. She married second Richard Bidle. Blanche died 11 April 1966 in Pana, Christian County, Illinois, killed in an automobile accident.
There were three (3) children born of the marriage.

She was a school teacher at Lincoln School here. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at McCracken Funeral Home here with burial at Industry. She is survived by two sons, Robert of Springfield, Richard of Fresno, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Diane Johnson of Mount Vernon, Ind.; three sisters, Miss Ruby Kirkpatrick of Pasadena, Calif., Mrs. Nelle Pollock of Macomb, Mrs. Nancy McAllister of Monte Vista, Calif.; two brothers, John Kirkpatrick of Macomb, Ralph Kirkpatrick of Kenosha, Wis.; 11 grandchildren.
