He was born in Macomb, the son of Robert K. and Blanche Kirkpatrick Pennington, and was a U. S. Marine during World War II. Mr. Pennington was account executive for WCVS radio for the past 20 years. Mr. Pennington was a member of the Douglas Avenue United Methodist Church and president of the Douglas Avenue United Methodist Men. He was past district director of the United Methodist Men and served as district lay leader for the United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Surviving are his wife, Marjorie B.; three sons, Robert K. Jr. of Springfield, Barry Keith of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Kirkpatrick at home; three daughters, Miss Linda Fritz and Miss Carole Pennington of Glendale, Calif., and Mrs. Connie Kniery of Springfield; one brother, Don Richard Pennington of Fresno, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Ed (Diane) Johnson of Mount Vernon, Ind.; two grandchildren. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Old Industry Cemetery in Industry. Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
