Catherine (Katie) MORAHAN

According to her obituary in The Leitrim Observer, Katie was a native of the townland of Cloonmaan in the parish of Tumna, Co. Roscommon. Her address at the time of her marriage (1902) was 18 St. Benedict's Gardens, Dublin. She married Patrick Harvey, a brother of John Harvey who was married to Katie's eldest sister, Mary.

Around 1907 Katie and Patrick moved to Glasgow where they lived for more than 30 years. Following Patrick's death in 1940 Katie returned to Carrick-on-Shannon where she lived in St. Patrick's Park. Their son Patrick had moved to Carrick-on-Shannon around 1919, and the family of their daughter Violet - and perhaps Violet herlelf - also settled in Carrick at some point.
