Patrick (Paddy) Gerard HARVEY

Paddy moved from Glasgow to Carrick-on-Shannon in 1919. He was a keen oarsman and was a member of Carrick-on-Shannon Rowing Club. In 1933 he and four other club members were training on the Shannon when they got into difficulty. Paddy and one other rower survived but three drowned.
Paddy was a boat builder, carpenter and painter. He lived in St. Patrick's Park in Carrick-on-Shannon. It appears he never married.
