Ned's baptismal sponsors were Edmund Hudson and Bridget Hudson.
Ned and his wife, Hannie, were second cousins - Hannie's maternal grandmother was Johanna Hudson, sister of Ned's paternal grandfather Edmond Hudson.
There is a possibility that Ned and Hannie were actually doubly related in that Ned's maternal grandmother, Bridget Cunningham, could have been related to Hannie's maternal grandfather, Bryan Cunningham - a sister of his, perhaps. However, we do not know if Bryan had a sister named Bridget, although he did have a first cousin named Bridget, born in 1820 and daughter of his uncle Daniel Cunningham. Could this Bridget Cunningham possibly have been Ned's maternal grandmother, Bridget Cunningham?
