I am very grateful to Tom Moloney of Islandanny, Duagh, Co. Kerry for much of the information you see below on the family of William and his wife, Johanna.

Sponsors at William's baptism were William Connor and John Connnor.

William and Johanna remained on the Hudson family farm in Kilbaha until about 1920 when they moved to Lacca East, Kilmorna, Co. Kerry. They had purchased a 65-acre farm there on 29 March 1919 (for £2,410) from a family by the name of Walsh. William and Johanna's eldest son, Ned, appears to have taken over the Kilbaha farm around this time, while William and Johanna's only other surviving son, Dick, would later inherit the farm in Lacca East.

Apparently William was a striking-looking man with a long white beard.
