This person is listed as Annie on a document filed by Napoleon with the Dept. of Interior- Bureau of Pernions 19 Nov 1897. It is confusingly filled out and it is difficult to determine, although it was int3nded to list all marriages and children. No other evidence of a wife called annie has been found.
Mary Hickman, age 2, is listed on 1850 census of Fulton Co. OH. Evidently Zachariah and Rachel Hickman, Mary and her six older brothers and sisters came to Gratiot Co. MI about the same time that David Hamp and his family did. Napoleon and Mary were married in Gratiot Co, according to Napoleon's Civil War pension record.
