There were two women (first cousins) named Marie Charlotte Périllard who lived in the Montréal area in the time frame in which Thomas Hoffpauir married and fathered his daughter, Marie Charlotte Hoffpauir. I "think" that this Marie Charlotte was the spouse of Thomas. Hopefully, some data (perhaps mtDNA) available in the future will settle the issue. The only reason I chose this person over her cousin is because the given name Francois appears very frequently in her family, and not at all in the family of the other Marie Charlotte.
