Birth
When Everett's birth was recorded with the church, the minister wrote that he was the 9th child. Perhaps his parents had another child who died in infancy or at birth? Note also that Marback (or Marbäck) is located at 57 degrees, 45 minutes North, and 13 degrees 25 minutes E.Emigration
Skattegården is the name given to their home or farm in Marbäck.Gustafva, Everett's mother, and her children left from the port of Göteborg on August 18, 1886, headed for Manchester, England, with ticket number 29:437:6420.
Immigration
The name of the ship was "Scythia," captained by Thomas Roberts. Its ports of departure were Queenstown, Ireland, and Liverpool. The Scythia was built in 1874 at Glasgow by J & G Thomson and Co. It was 420.8 ft x 42.4 ft, and part of the Cunard Line. Its maiden voyage was May 1, 1875, when it went from Liverpool to Queenstown to New York. It made that trip many times, until it was broken up in Italy in 1899.For Everett IA's voyage, it departed Liverpool on August 17, 1886, and arrived in Boston ten days later, on Aug 27.

"The performance put on last evening by the Conservatory Dramatic club, under the direction of Lakin Hannibal Richard, was a comedy entitled, "Purely Platonic." It was a choice bit of entertainment and well-received. All the participants acted their parts like true artists and won much credit for the Conservatory and their manager, Mr. Richard.

Marriage
It is rumored that Everett I.A. was married for a brief time to an heiress of the King Ranch in Texas but that her family objected to the marriage and so it was annulled. His first wife, Helen, has not been linked to the King family yet.Census
