Samuel Woods "Bresee" Bryant

This is the grandfather of Perry Bryant (pbryant2@comcast.net) per his e-mail dated 14 Apr 2011. Samuel Bresee changed his name, or his mother changed it, to Samuel W. Bryant, most likely due to an early divorce between his parents. His mother had three children from an earlier marriage to a William Bryant who died in 1868. Samuel grew up with the Bryant half siblings and used their last name. This has been proven by 37 marker Y-DNA test of Perry Bryant. See FamilyTreeDNA group for Bresee.
