1820 census for Franklin, Delaware Co., NY, shows his son, Herman Hawkins, age 26-45 (actual age was 33), living with two young males and a female at the right age to be his wife.
1810 census for Franklin, Delaware Co., NY, shows Gaylord age 45 plus (actual age 58) living with a female of same age plus a male age 16-25 and younger females. They are next to a William Hawkins (?) age 26-44 and his family.
1808 Phinehas Philips (he was the husband of Ruth Hawkins and she was the daughter of Gaylord Hawkins) was a Plaintiff in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas and received a judgment of $208 from a Gaylord Haskins on 10 June 1808.
