1906 LA Times obituary dated 10 April 1906 states that "In this city April 9, 1906 Mrs. Ann Johnson mother of Henry M. Johnson of San Diego, M.D. Johnson of Imperial, C.F. Johnson of Fresno, M.S. Johnson of Riverside, Mrs. J.E. Bradley of Riverside, Mrs. Ernest H, Bresee of Los Angeles, aged 63 years. Funeral at Bresee Bros. 6th and Broadway, Interment at Rosedale Cemetery".
1880 census shows him as age 7 (born 1873) living with his parents in Brunswick, Essex Co., VT. and born in Vermont.
1873 birth year and location based on 1880 census. Hand written note by Elvira Titus Spencer (copy in the Ann Titus file) shows M. Durwood Johnson born on Mar. 21, 1873.
