1906 LA Times obituary dated 10 April 1906 states that "In this city April 9, 1906 Mrs. Ann Johnson mother of Henry M. Johnson of San Diego, M.D. Johnson of Imperial, C.F. Johnson of Fresno, M.S. Johnson of Riverside, Mrs. J.E. Bradley of Riverside, Mrs. Ernest H, Bresee of Los Angeles, aged 63 years. Funeral at Bresee Bros. 6th and Broadway, Interment at Rosedale Cemetery".
1900 census shows she was born in New Hampshire in April 1869, age 31, married for 12 years and having 2 children with both living: Edward H. age 11 and Ethel A. age 2. Jessie could read, write and speak English. Both of her parents were also born in New Hampshire. In the home is her mother, Ann (Titus) Johnson, age 57 a widow.
