1906 LA Times obituary dated 10 April 1906 states that "In this city April 9, 1906 Mrs. Ann Johnson mother of Henry M. Johnson of San Diego, M.D. Johnson of Imperial, C.F. Johnson of Fresno, M.S. Johnson of Riverside, Mrs. J.E. Bradley of Riverside, Mrs. Ernest H, Bresee of Los Angeles, aged 63 years. Funeral at Bresee Bros. 6th and Broadway, Interment at Rosedale Cemetery".
1880 census show him age 17 (born 1863) living with his parents in Brunswick, Essex Co., VT, and was born in New Hampshire which is in conflict with the 1870 census.
