Property
Daniel McCoy purchased burial lot 44 of section C from the Oakland Cemetery Association on 18 November 1864. His brother William McCoy had sold this property to the Oakland Cemetery Association and was listed as President of the Cemetery Association on the deed.Daniel McCoy was buried here when he died on 2 April 1865. Mary Gilbert Kennedy (born 1795) was also buried in this burial lot in 1865. Since Daniel McCoy's wife was Amanda Kennedy, Mary is probably her mother.
Daniel McCoy's children (Joseph W. McCoy, Agnes L. Taylor and her husband William F. Taylor, and Emma B. McCoy) later sold half of this burial lot to A. S. Cunningham on 11 October 1915.
