Notes
Probate
Jacob C. Conner does not mention his wife in his will but leaves his estate to his three daughters. His wife was an inmate at Torrance State Hospital for the Insane in April, 1930 when she was enumerated in the census. She died on 5 March 1931 and the first and final account for his estate was filed with the Court in March, 1932. His wife would have been entitled to a third of his estate even though he did not name her in his will. It is not known when she was admitted to Torrance State Hospital. According to Jacob Conner Wolfe, Jacob C. Conner's grandson, his daughters did not like their stepmother. He and his wife may have been divorced prior to his death. Records at the Indiana County Courthouse need checked to see if they were divorced.Endnotes
