Willie Adolph Kapinos

Willie farmed near Canby, MN until moving to Mora in 1959. His parents were Mary and Adolph Kapinos. He was Bohemian. In 1945 he served in the Army in Germany. His employment was as a farmer, then construction, then boat builder, then retired.

Willie A. Kapinos
Willie A. Kapinos died Thursday, April 8, 1993 at the Kanabec County Hospital in Mora. He was 68 years old.
He was born to Adolph and Mary Kapinos on February 17, 1925 in Canby, MN. He was raised as a young boy on a farm near Canby. He attended school there, along with working on the family farm.
In 1945, he joined the Army and served in Germany. He was honorably discharged and then returned to work on the farm.
In 1948, he was united in marriage to Gloria Lovro. They resided in Yellow Medicine County until 1959, when they moved to rural Mora near Knife Lake where he resided until his death.
He worked construction and was a self employed carpenter until he retired. He loved working with his hands and loved to build things for his family and friends.
He was a member of the American Legion in Mora, and also the Farmers Union in Canby.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Gloria, two sons Terry and Larry, and one grandson Troy.
He is survived by two sons, Keith and wife Sandra of Ogilvie, Kevin of Mora; four daughters, Mrs. Gary (Judy) Tetnowski of Mora, Janis of Cohasset, Mrs. Jim (Joy) Nehring of Oligvie and Carol of Mora; one broth4r, Harry of Rochester; two sisters, Lucille Gritmacher of Fairbanks, Alaska and Marcella Nelson of Madison, MN; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and numerous relatives.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 12, 1993 at the Grace Lutheran Church in Mora. Rev. David Everett and Rev. Alan Hendrickson officiated.
Pallbearers were Gordy Anderson, Ken Kvale, Ernest Taylor, Joe Dubbie, Mike Oster, and Vic Denies.
Honorary pallbearers were Brian Kapinos, Kole Kapinos, Nicholas Kapinos, Jason Nehring, Josh Nehring, and Dan Tetnowski.
Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Dresser-Methven Funeral Services of Mora, MN.
