Ken Lien provides additional information:
"The Ole Fjeseth is Ola Digrehagen in the Singsaas Book. I believe that it is important to give both the name used in Norway and the name used in America to avoid getting people confused. Ole apparently lived on Kersti's fathers farm before he came to America, and so he took her farm name instead of his.
From Lorenchia Nygaard Scott:
"The article below is from the Diamond Jubilee, 1874-1949, of Singsaas Lutheran Church.
In the year 1929 an unusual wedding anniversary was held in the community. Mr. and Mrs. Ole Fjeseth observed their sixtieth wedding anniversary. They had been married in the Singsaas Church in Norway on December 30, 1869. This is the only sixtieth wedding anniversary held in the Singsaas congregation.
The sixtieth anniversary of the congregation was held on Sunday, October 7, 1934. Dr. J. A. Aasgaard, the General President of the Norwegian Lutheran Church of America, gave the anniversary sermon. The pastors G. S. Froiland, E. Moe, S. Engelstad, P. O. Lovseth, and O. Nesheim participated. Three charter members were present, namely, Hans Digre, Ole Fjeseth and Lars Friestad."
