Sarah was born ca 1657, possibly in Salem, Massachusetts, but certainly in Massachusetts. She was a daughter of [[Curtis-2803|Zaccheus Curtis]] and possibly [[Corwithin-1|Joanna Corwithin]], (mother's maiden name is unproven). The family immigrated from England in 1635 and first settled in Salem, Massachusetts.
