== Biography ==John Gould was born 1585 in Bovingdon, County Hertford, England. John married Judith. Judith died at Watford, Hertfordshire, in May 1650. She was buried on 15 May 1650 in Watford, Hertfordshire. Judith married second 20 May 1650 (license) Simon Gould of Bovingdon, Hertfordshire.

=== Will ===Occupation: Yeoman. John Gould's will was dated 30 Jun 1633, proved 18 Jul 1633. In his will dtd 30 Jun 1633, he says he is "of the parishe of Kingslangley in the county of Hertf. Yeoman." King's Langley is about 4 miles south of Hemel Hempstead, 4 miles east of Bovingdon. Left 20 pounds to eldest son John, "to be paide unto him at the age of fower and twenty years." Left 10 pounds each to children Joseph, Sarah, Hannah, Mary, Sacheus, Nathan, Abell, Lidia, and Elizabeth, to be paid at the age of 21. 1650, 6 May: Judith GOULD (her mother) wrote a will, leaving to Hannah and Elizabeth, daughters of her daughter Hannah, 40 pounds between them. Her son-in-law George YOUNGE owed her 100 pounds of which her executors should claim only 40 pounds. If her son Abel should die before coming of age, 300 pounds should be divided between her daughters Lydia and Elizabeth, 50 pounds given to her daughter Hannah, 20 pounds to her daughter Marie, and 30 pounds sent to New England to be equally divided between the own children of her son Nathan and her daughter Sarah.
