Agnes Clare
(Abt 1224 - )
== Biography ==Agnes and Isabel or Isabella are named in that order, in the Chronicle of Tewkesbury Abbey, as the daughters of Gilbert de Clare, 4th Earl of Gloucester, and his wife Isabel Marshal, born after their elder brother Richard.quoted in Cawley, who actually says "birth of their elder brothers" so perhaps their were other sons who died young? As Richard was born 4 August 1222, and Isabel on 2 November 1226, then it is possible that Agnes was born about 1224. There appear to be no other sources that mention Agnes, so her fate is unknown and perhaps she died as a child. Various Internet genealogies give her a husband named Dugal (not sure if this is first name or surname?) but there appears to be no evidence for this marriage. == Sources == *Cawley Charles, 'Earls of Gloucester 1217-1314 (Clare)', Chap. 11, c. of England, Earls created 1067-1122, version 3.0, updated 27 May 2014.
