== Biography ==Lady Charlotte Elizabeth Boyle, was born 27 October 1731I'm not sure whether she was born at Barrowby as listed above, the only surviving child and heir of [[Boyle-118|Richard Boyle, Earl of Burlington and Cork]] and his wife, [[Saville-7|Lady Dorothy Savile]]. She married 27 March 1748 at Lady Burlington's house in Pall Mall, St James's, Westminster, [[Cavendish-20|William Cavendish, Marquess of Hartington, later 4th Duke of Devonshire]] (born 1720, died 2 October 1764 at Spa in Germany).Cokayne, Gibbs, Doubleday, vol. 4, p. 345-346 He didn't succeed to the Dukedom until 1755 which means Elizabeth was never Duchess of Devonshire but known by his courtesy title as Marchioness of Hartington.
