== Biography ==John Arcall II was born in Higham, Kent. The son of a prosperous tailor and cloth merchant, he followed in the same professions.
He married Catharine Pullin in Higham, Kent, England. Catharine was born 1430 in England. They had at least one son: John Argall III who was born in Cornwall; the family had land and business interests there.
John Arcall / Argall died between August and October 1452. His Will has the following bequest, placing him in East London, Middlesex, England, at his death:
:"'' ... to master Thomas Westrow, the rector, and churchwardens of the church of All Hallows at the Hay in the Ropery'' [= All Hallows the Great Church, Upper Thames St., London EC], ''I leave a parcel of land within the parish, for the augmentation and enlargement of the said church.''"
