John Arcall (Argall) was born in 1416 in Leicestershire, England. His parents were Geoffrey Arcall (Argall) Sr. and his wife, whose name is Unknown.
John married Sarah Large 1433 in Higham, Kent, England. Sarah was born in 1420. They had one known son, John Arcall, Jr. (II).
John Arcall (aka Argall) was a "Citizen and Tailor of London" by 24 January 1441 when he would have been 25 years old. The same deed that mentions his occupation links him with Thomas Coupe of 'Southwerk' [Southwark] where they both quitclaim of their right in a tenement of 1 acre in the parish of Batrichsey [= Battersea], in Surrey, adjoining the Thames, and half an acre in the parish of Wandesworth, in a place callec Temsefurlong [Thames-furlong], which they had obtained as a gift from John Prentys [Prentice] and Joan, his wife.
John's exact death date is not known but it would have been around 1450.
