The same deed that mentions his occupation links him with Thomas Coupe of 'Southwerk' [Southwark] where they both quitclaim of their right in a tenement of 1 acre in the parish of Batrichsey [= Battersea], in Surrey, adjoining the Thames, and half an acre in the parish of Wandesworth, in a place callec Temsefurlong [Thames-furlong], which they had obtained as a gift from John Prentys [Prentice] and Joan, his wife.
John's exact death date is not known but it would have been around 1450.
