== Biography ==Leonard was the 3rd son (2nd surviving son) of Sir Edward Aston of Longdon, Staffs, by his wife Jane Bowles. He was born 1532-41 (Richardson).
He married Elizabeth Barton, of Chester, widow of Thomas Creswell Esq. They had 2 children:
* Walter
* Jane, wife of Henry Skipwith
On 15 Nov 1578 a royal warrant was issued in connection with the theft of an ox belonging to Leonard, from which we may infer that he was still living, or not long dead.
