Katherine Aston was born circa 1535 at Tixall, Staffordshire, England to Sir Edward Aston and his second wife Jane Bowles.Douglas Richardson, Royal Ancestry, Vol. I, p. 177, Vol. V, p. 390.
Katherine Aston married c.1548 Sir William Gresley (1525-73), kt. of Drakelow (Derbys) and had issue three sons and three daughters. She died before September 1585;
