Isabella inherited her father's love of poetry, and was the author of two French verses written on the death of her sister, Margaret, and published in Francisque-Michel's ''Les Écossais en France'' (i.193).Henderson, Thomas Finlayson. Isabella remained in France after her husband's death in 1450, outliving him by almost 48 years. She died at the end of 1498 or the beginning of 1499 and was buried in the Cathedral of Saint-Pierre at Vannes, France.
