== Biography ==}Sir James Kennedy of Dunure, younger was the son of [[Kennedy-7257|Sir Gilbert Kennedy of Dunure]]. He married [[Stewart-1638|Lady Mary Stewart]], daughter of Robert III Stewart, King of Scotland and Annabel Drummond, in 1405.
James was killed in a fight with his illegitimate brother Gilbert sometime before 8 November 1408. He lived at Dunure, Ayrshire, Scotland.
