Individual Details
Joane Clare
(1185 - )
== Biography ==
== Notes ==
Apparently a Welsh chronicle states that Rhys Gryg married the daughter of the Earl of Clare and that is the limit of out knowledge. Rhys's known offspring are presumed to be hers. She is given a name only in late writings. It's been suggested that she may have been illegitimate. MedLands proposes that Rhys was the 2nd husband of Maud de Clare, on the presumption that Braose's wife Maud was indeed a Clare, though that is uncertain.
