OBITUARY :
MAURICE K. SHINDLEDECKER, 79, of Blue Ridge Summit, died Sunday, Feb. 18, at his home.

Born July 14, 1916, in Charmian, Pa , he was the son of the late John W. and Fanny E. Kint Shindledecker. He is survived by his wife, Anna G. Collins Shindledecker.

He was a member of Jacob's United Church of Christ in Fairfield. He was a charter and life member of the National Fireman's Shrine Hall of Fame, Valley Forge, Pa.; a charter and life member of the Blue Ridge Summit Volunteer Fire Co.; life member of Fountaindale Volunteer Fire Co.; and member of the Fulton and Franklin Counties Association.

He was self-employed as a general contractor, serving the tri-state area of Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia.

In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter, Marsha A. Hawbaker of Blue Ridge Summit; one brother-in-law, Robert Troxell of Thurmont, Md.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Shindledecker and Lawrence Shindledecker, both of Blue Ridge Summit; two sisters, Lillian Shulley of Blue Ridge Summit, and Margaret Wyrick of Randolph, Neb.

Memorial services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 21, at Jacob's United Church of Christ, Fairfield, with the Rev. William D. Kauffman officiating. Interment will be private.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
