Called into us by daughter Deb K Rowe. Passed about 1:04 AM Funeral looks like this Wednesday, Dec 17th 2014Zelda M.C. Hartman Mrs. Zelda M.C. (Helman) Hartman, 84, of 25 N. Potomac Street, Waynesboro, died Sunday morning, December 14, 2014, in the Waynesboro Hospital. Born June 22, 1930 in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Clyde A. and Anna Marie (Ott) Helman. She was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro area. Mrs. Hartman worked as a machine operator at the Waynesboro Knitting Mill and later at Regency Thermographers, Waynesboro. She retired in 1992. She was a member of the Open Door Church, Chambersburg, Mercersburg American Legion Post #517 and the South Chapter AARP #2977. Mrs. Hartman enjoyed puzzles, crocheting, needle point, and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by three children, Carroll K. Hartman, Jr. of Mercersburg, Debbie Mae Rowe of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Betty M. Miller of Mercersburg; four grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Betty Smetzer of Waynesboro, Anna Mary Carbaugh of Chambersburg, Michaleen Lohman of Tempe, AZ, and Ethel Coshun of Fairfield; one brother, Clyde A. Helman, Jr. of Chambersburg; her caregivers, Steve and Bev Oberholzer of Waynesboro; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, John Helman. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 17, 2014 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery, near Quincy, PA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Wednesday afternoon, in the funeral home.
