Christian B. SHONTZ
(12 FEB 1842 - 3 MAR 1927)
Christian first enlisted with the 5th PA Reserves, Co., G, Volunteer Infantry from Huntingdon Co., PA. After three years, he re-enlisted in Co., E, Reserve Corps of Infantry. He was wounded at the battle of Spottsylvania when a musket ball entered his body near the hip and could not be removed.
