SAMUEL Y. HAFER
Centerport, Dec 9----Samuel Y. HAFER died at his home here today, aged 74 years. Death followed an illness of five years. He was bedfast two years. He was never married. Born in Center township, he was a son of the late Benjamin and Elizabeth (Yerger) HAFER. He was engaged in farming in Center Township for many years, retiring seven years ago, at which time he moved to this borough. HAFER was a member of the Reformed congregation of Belleman's Church. Two sisters, Katie, widow of John COLDREN, Reading, and Emma, widow of William KULP, West Lawn, survive. Funeral Thursday at 1:30 p.m. from the home. Further services in Belleman's Church, the Rev. John K. Stoudt officiating. Interment in adjoining cemetery, in charge of Funeral Director J.D. Nafzinger.
