Sarah A. "Sary" McClard

(Abt 1809 - 24 Aug 1888)

George was a member of the first Grand Jury of Iron County, Missouri formed in
1858. He was stabbed to death by his son William in a drunken rage at the
kitchen table. William was later killed in a fight while awaiting trial for
the murder of his father. George was also one of the petitioners to have Iron
County made into a county in 1860. It has been said that Sarah's middle name
was Ann. Sarah's funeral arrangments were taken care of by her son Joshua on
24-Aug-1888 at the old Albert's Funeral Home in Ironton, Iron Co, MO.
