George Harrison Young

George shot and killed Andy Pippin with a shotgun at a dance in Leatherwood,
Missouri after Andy knocked him down in a fist fight and proceeded to throw
rocks at him. George was 60 years old and was not charged for the killing.
George was in the Civil War part of Company M, 8th Missouri Cavalry from Sep
1, 1863 to Dec 1, 1863 then part of Company D, 68th Cavalry from Aug 15, 1864
to Nov 15, 1864. The 1864-1868 list of qulified voters has George as "Rebel
Army--In Price's Raid--Liberty Township" of Iron Co., MO.
