Moses N. Wingo Family
The father-in-law of Moses N. Wingo was Manuel (Agrippa written in) E. Cranford, who was born in Coweta County southeast of Palmetto, Georgia, April, 1838, and remained in Coweta County all his life. He married Jane Bailey and they had six children. One daughter, Cansby L. Cranford, was born July 27, 1870, and married Moses N. Wingo, born March 2, 1866. Moses N. Wingo was a farmer, owner and operator of a water ground corn mill, and Justie of Peace for fourty-four years.
They lived and reared their six children in Palmetto. They had three boys and three girls. the boys were
Edgar E., Nelson O., and Ralph L., Girls were Mattie Jean, Mable Elizabeth (Bess) and Louise. The children were all reared and educated in Palmetto. There were two grandchildren: Louis M. Wood, born to Mattie Jean, and Margaret A. Carraway, daughter of Ralph L.
Moses N. Wingo was a member of Ramah Church. All other members of the family belonged to Palmetto United Methodist Church.
Cansby L. Wingo died January 15, 1923. Moses N. Wingo died January 13, 1954. All deceased are buried at Floral Hill Cemetery.
Louise married Joseph G. wise, June 25, 1945. Hoseph G. Wise died October 11, 1971. Louise resides in Palmetto.
