Martha Ann ROBINSON

After her husband died she lived in Vernon during the school year so the girls could attend school. James Baxter lived with a neighbor Roy Carson and took care of the farm and its cattle. In the early 1900's they moved to Oklahoma Territory. They waited several days for the Red River to go down before they could cross. Martha and both McCord families got Homestead Patents near Sweetwater. The Post Office was named "WINGO". The town inclued a store and a one room schoolhouse. Buried in Berlin, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma Cemetery.
