Charles Bilimek was a traveling salesman, and Caroline had left him for Frank Langston who wouldn't support her or her two sons by Charles. After the hotel burned down, she sent her sons to live with her brothers and then she hung herself in her mother's basement. Charles put both boys, Ludwig (age 4) and Rudolph (age 3), in a orphanage in Atchison, KS.Endnotes
