Vogel, a justice of the peace within and for the County aforesaid do hereby certify that I did on this 3rd day of February 1857 join in the holy bonds of matrimony Mr. Reinhold Anaker and Miss Caroline Gieswell both of the City and County of St. Louis, State of Missouri. Given under my hand this 3rd February 1857.

Charles ANACKER was enrolled on the 31 day of May 1861 at Leavenworth, KS in Co. F, 1st Regiment of Kansas Volunteers, to serve three years, or during the war, and mustered into service as a Private.On the Muster Roll of Co. F of that Regiment for the month of October 31, 1861, he is reported: Private "wounded in battle and now in hospital in St. Louis." "Muster Out roll of that Company dated 16 June 1864 reports him Private: "discharged 2 March 1862 for disability - wounded at Wilson's Creek, MO 10 August 1861."

On his Certificate of Disability Discharge papers, Charles ANACKER's injury was described as follows: "gun shot wound in the bicep muscle of the left arm, causing some adhesions. The disability resulting about one third."

BRIEF in the case of Charles ANACKER, minor child of Charles ANACKER, Pvt. Co. F, 1st Kansas Infantry Volunteers.Residence of Guardian: Atchison County, and State of Kansas.
Post Office address: Atchison, Atchison, Kansas.
SERVICE: Adjutant General reports "Charles ANACKER was enrolled 31 May 1861 and mustered in same date as a Private in Co. F, 1st Regiment Kansas Volunteers. On Muster Roll 31 Oct 1861, he is reported Private wounded in battle, and now in hospital, St. Louis, MO. Muster Out Roll Co. F dated from 16 June 1864, reports him Private discharged 2 March 1862 for disability. Wounded at Wilson's Creek, MO 10 August 1861." Discharge on file and shows above facts. Surgeon General reports "no information". Doctor Petrie testifies that he was called to the soldier 5 February 1865, and found him sick with typhoid fever, the result of wound, from which he had not recovered. Was sent to hospital. Junty (sic) and Pfifer (sic) testify and state on 5 February 1865 soldier was taken to hospital where he died 10 February 1865 of correlated (sic) disease.
